Hajime! (Begin!)

Updated: Jun 18, 2020

OSU! Welcome to Kin Ryu!

It's been a rough few months for everyone, but as El Dorado County opens back up, my family and I are making plans to get dojo space built out for training in the Pleasant Valley area. Some of the steps we will be taking to ensure our students' safety, as well as to be good and respectful neighbors will include some of the following:

  • Mats will be cleaned after every class

  • During the first few months of training, there will be minimal, if any, physical contact between students (no sparring yet, limited partner work)

  • Hand sanitizer will be available for students to use as needed

  • Upon entry to the dojo, we will check students' temperatures, and anyone with a high temp will be asked to not participate that day

  • Students will be asked to not come in or participate if they or a member of their household are not feeling well or are outwardly exhibiting any cold/flu like symptoms

In addition to the in-person steps being taken, I will be setting up provisions to allow students to join us over Zoom during class. Our end goal is to be able to allow as many students as possible to join us for their journey in martial arts, while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all.

Thank you!

We evacuated a long with many of you. Unfortunately, we're too far to hold in-person classes, and it wouldn't be the safest to do right now, anyway. In the meantime, practice! Look forward to training
